“It’s addictive, big, small, soaring, down to earth, and done with a wicked sense of humour. East end boys and west end girls. Second-hand leather jackets. Creative, new, old, beautiful, ugly, rich, poor. All rubbing along. It’s a wet spring. Roses from Columbia Rd. Georgian architecture. A hint of dustiness. An earthy lush wetness you can almost taste.”
It’s a floral leather fragrance. With a watery green head, of cucumber and violet leaves. A floral heart, with Rose de Mai Absolute, rose oil and orris root. And basenotes of leather, sandalwood, patchouli, and cedarwood.
The name of the fragrance is an acronym for “S-Perfume Extreme.” The idea behind the first S-Perfume fragrance in 1997 was to create a fragrance using the smell of seminal fluid. The idea behind S-ex was to build the fragrance around form rather than substance. In the V magazine, Author Chandler Burr once wrote “a masterful, complex juxtaposition of elements that gives the scent of the genitalia of a freshly shampooed beast.”
